Through scripture and from personal experience as a nurse, she offers firsthand insight into hospice and the process for caring for patients or their loved ones. She also highlights the importance of active listening in improving the quality of care they provide.
About Me
Hi, I’m Bernice, Author and nurse
I have been a nurse for over 30 years, on oncology, telemetry, and transitional care units in hospitals, nursing homes, and physician’s offices. Previously, I was board-certified as a gerontological nurse. Currently, I work on a behavior health unit. I hope my book inform, inspire, or transfer your mind to another place.

- Wonderful visit at Baylor University. From the time I arrived on the campus, I felt peace. It is obvious their motto: Learn. Lead. Serve is present. I had a very pleasing meeting with Dr. Plank. The school refers to nursing as a calling to serve, which embraces every aspect of nursing. I first saw the Divine Servant Statue, which symbolizes the belief that nurses have been called to make a difference. Nurses keep showing them what we are made of 🙂
