Bernice Simpson Author

Bernice Simpson has worked as a nurse for over 29 years, on oncology, telemetry, and transitional care units in hospitals, nursing homes, and physician’s offices. Previously, she was board-certified as a gerontological nurse. Currently, she works on a behavior health unit. 2024 Indie Award Finalists for First Novel (Under 50,000 words).

Wonderful visit at Baylor University. From the time I arrived on the campus, I felt peace. It is obvious their motto: Learn. Lead. Serve is present. I had a very pleasing meeting with Dr. Plank. The school refers to nursing as a calling to serve, which embraces every aspect of nursing. I first saw the Divine Servant Statue, which symbolizes the belief that nurses have been called to make a difference. Nurses keep showing them what we are made of :)
